Welcome to my photography portfolio, and thank you for visiting. I am a sophomore at Penn State University studying Public Relations in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications with a minor in Digital Media Trends and Analytics. I am passionate about the entertainment, music, and hospitality industries. I am a hard working and motivated employee and student.

This past summer I was a Public Relations Intern in Tel Aviv, Israel, for international PR firm, GKPR. During my time as a PR intern, I monitored news trends in niche industries, created and posted content for clients on social media, and used the CisionPoint platform daily. I have written and sent out pitches to companies in a variety of industries during my time as the Media Relations Chair of VALLEY Magazine. As the Director of Marketing/ Outreach for TAMID Group at Penn State, I recruited 30+ new members, promoted the organization’s brand on social media platforms, and participated in an Israeli start-up consulting competition. This summer I will be a College Associate at Fox News in NYC, working with the show team of the Outnumbered/ Outnumbered Overtime Departments.
Nursing Students at Penn State
I chose to focus on nursing students here at Penn State for the photo story project. My inspiration for this project stemmed from two main thoughts. First, I had always admired my oldest sister for her passion and work ethic as a nursing student and now a nurse practitioner. I watched my oldest sister, Katie, work tirelessly through her four college years to come out with tangible, hands-on nursing skills that she soon would use in her new job. It always blew my mind to think that just four years of college shaped her into a professional. Four years of difficult classes, endless clinicals, and semesters of studying led her patients to have full trust in her as a nurse. Second, I was inspired by the nursing students here at Penn State and their devotion and love for nursing. Although just sophomores, Hallie Horowitz and Arli Mach, the two students I chose to focus my project on, just started with their clinicals this semester. It was an amazing journey to watch them grow as students and caring individuals, which is a huge part of being a nurse. It still blows my mind every day that these students graduate after four years and are fully trusted by their patients to take care of their lives.
This project brought a lot of emotion to the table, one of the students I focused on actually failed a course during the time we were working together and has to now stay an extra year at school. She was supposed to go to Hershey Medical Center all of her junior year, but now she has to wait until her extra year as a student to go. I wanted to capture emotion in these photos, but also wanted to show the light-heartedness of these two individuals. They are both charismatic, lowing, and extremely self-motivated, which is depicted in their portraits. I also wanted to shoot natural photos of these students, which are mostly of them studying, as that is a huge part of their academics.
